Ella Enchanted, a 240 page novel by Gail Carson Levine, is about a girl who was enchated, by a fairy, at birth to be obediant. Ella cannot diobey any command and in this book her obedience brings her A LOT of trouble. When she is sent to finishing school , Hattie, Madaum Ulga's daughter, soon figures that Ella has to do everything she is told and makes Ella give her, her lost mother's necklace.When Ella runs away from finishing school she runs in to ogres and they give her commands and she is forced to obey them, but luckily prince Char comes to the rescue and sees her off to the Giant's wedding that she is trying to get to. At the wedding she asks the fairy that gave her the terrible gift to take it away, but she is just commaded to be happy about it! So when Ella reaches home Char has to leave in two days but he promises to write and her father has big news. He has to get married to Madaum Ulga!!! When Ella moves to Madaum Ulga's house they make her a slave, but when she goes to the prince's ball they fall in love, Ella breaks the curse, and Ella and Char get married and live happily ever after.I recomend this to everyone who likes to ready it is a great story.
