The Red Pyramid is about a boy named Carter and his sister Sadie.Carter and Sadies's mom dies in the book six years before when the story takes place. When their mom does die Sadie and Carter's grand-parents offer to take Sadie in but not Carter. Carter travels the world with his dad who is an archeologist and is always traveling the world.Every Christmas Eve Sadie gets one night with her father and Carter this Christmas Eve her father decides to take the kids to a musuem to "make things right".But when Carter's dad tries to free the egyption god  Osiris the god of death ,he ends up freeing all the egyption gods and stumbles upon Set the god of Chaos.Set imprisones Carter's father and tries to get Sadie and Carter but they had some sort of magic force field around them.Before Set imprisoned Carter's father Carter's father broke the Rosetta Stone the thing that set the gods free. So when the police got to the musuemn they blamed Cater and Sadie for breaking the Rosetta stone .So they were brought to their grand parents house and right before they were arrested their uncle Amos made them change there mind and just banish them from London.Amos takes them to his house in Manhatten and teaches them about magicians,magic,and the egyptian gods.When Carter takes a little trip to the duat when he is sleeping  he see's Set making a plan to take over America!When Carter finally wakes up he tells Amos and Amos leaves to try to destroy Sets plan but when he leaves to creatures arive and try to break into the house. The Phantom of Shadow Ranch

The Phantom of Shadow Ranch is about a girl named Nancy Drew who always stumbles along a mystery.
Nancy is just visiting Shadow ranch when a "horse phantom "apears and causes damage to the ranch. Of course Nancy loves mysteries so instead of running she puzzles it out. At the ranch is also a girl named Alice her father was taken and she belives he will be in Arizona.So Nancy had two mysteries to solve and she thought they were tied together in some way..When Nancy and the other girls got to town to tell the sheriff how the Phantom horse was destroying the ranch Nancy wittnessed a robbery and stopped the robbery. When the owner of the shop came and found out what Nancy did she gave Nancy an antique watch .Appaerently the watches history belonged to Valentine a rich man who was in love then later killed .Mary the store keeper also told Nancy their was a treasure Valentine left for his true love.Alice also bought a pastel that she thought her dad made . Outside the shop was a mysterious man who was staring wantedly at the watch . When they returned to the ranch they found a secret compartment in the watch that had a picture on it that said "green bottle in".One day Nancy desides to go riding (on a horse) up Shadow Mountin with her cousins George and Bess.They spotted a cabin and they thought nothing of it and just went back down to the ranch.The phantom kept returning but finally after a series of events Nancy Drew found Alice's Father ,Valentine's treasure and captured the criminals that were responcible for Alice's dad's kiddnapping and for trying to scare off the people who owned the farm to find the treasure.To know more of Nancy's great adventures read the Nancy Drew Series.
